Work with a veterinary epidemiologist experienced with wildlife datasets
Laura Rosen, DVM, PhD
I am a veterinary epidemiologist specializing in applied research on wildlife epidemiology and veterinary medicine, as well as disease ecology. My past research has focused on managing disease for conservation of wildlife, and includes both free-ranging and captive populations in North America, Europe, and Africa.
I am registered as a vet in the USA and Zimbabwe and have 14 years of experience working with wildlife in the field and doing wildlife data analysis in North America and Africa. You can read more about my background on my personal website.
Badger populations will change as vaccination replaces culling for TB management in Ireland. Prior capturing at a sett did not affect the likelihood of female badgers being pregnant.
Below are examples of applied conservation medicine research projects for which I analyzed data, including some of my dissertation research.
